3 Operating

The MEDISANA AM 880 abdominal stimulation device works on the princi-
ple of electrical muscle stimulation (EMS). Gentle electrical impulses over
the skin stimulate the body's abdominal muscles without placing strain on
the joints. This causes small muscle contractions, which can stimulate the
muscles in a "passive" manner (= without movement by the user). This can
be helpful for strengthening flaccid abdominal muscles, working on une-
ven, poorly trained or tense abdominal muscles, or for warming up before
exercise. Professional athletes, ambitious recreational athletes and rehab
experts have used this type of muscle stimulation for many years in order
to improve the body's performance, reduce the risk of injury and maintain
mobility.
