Replacing the Darkening Filter Cartridge

1. To replace the darkening filter cartridge
pull out the shade knob and remove it.
Screw off the hexagon nut and press
the thread inwards.
2. Pull the retaining bracket from the
inside of the helmet over the retaining
collar and lift it completely upwards.
3. Remove the darkening filter cartridge
and put in only an original filter cartridge
with identical dimensions. Notice that
the cable joint runs behind the retaining
collar and plugs in the according nut.
4. Assemble darkening filter cartridge and
shade knob in reverse order.
5. While putting the shade knob into the
thread, turn the knob as far as it will go
either to 9 or 13 and make sure, that
the arrow-head of shade knob points
towards 9 or 13. Turn the knob left-
wards and rightwards until it stops for
several times to check, if the shade
knob works correctly. If necessary
please put in the knob again.
