Using the cluster and management switch procedures
You can use these procedures to perform a variety of installation, replacement, and
upgrade tasks on the management and cluster switches in your cluster. IBM N
series recommends using CN1610 as cluster network switches.
Installing the management switch
About this task
Configure your management switch as per the information in "Management switch
port assignments" on page 9.
What to do next
Continue to customize the switch for your environment's requirements. It is
recommended that you configure the SNTP, host name, prompt, and administrator
password.
Installing the CN1610 cluster switch
Installing the CN1610 cluster switch starts with setting up an IP address and
configuration information to allow the CN1610 switch to communicate through the
management interface.
