8. Tighten all connections before start-
ing the engine or pressurizing lines.
9. Do not leave equipment in the raised
position when the vehicle is stopped
or unattended.
10.When installing or using an implement
or other attachment with the tractor,
be sure to read the implement
operator's manual to learn safe oper-
ating procedures and keep these pre-
cautions in mind.
11. Know your equipment and its limita-
tions.
12.When using an implement, be sure to
install the proper ballast weight on the
tractor.
13. Driving forward out of a ditch or
mired condition or up a steep slope
risk a tractor to be upset backwards.
Always back out of these situations.
Extra caution is required with four-
wheel drive models because their
higher traction can give the operator
false confidence in the tractor's abil-
ity to climb slopes.
14. Watch where you are going at all
times. Watch for and avoid obstacles.
Be alert at row ends, near trees, and
other obstructions.
15. Remember that your tractor, if incor-
rectly used, can be dangerous and
become a hazard both to the opera-
tor and to bystanders. Do not over-
load or operate with attached equip-
ment which is unsafe, not designed
for the particular task or is poorly
maintained. Refer to "Specifications
of Implement Limitations" recom-
mended by KIOTI Dealer, which out-
lines the maximum loads for safe trac-
tor operation.

16. To avoid upsets, always back up
steep slopes. Stay off hills and
slopes too steep for safe operation.
17. Do not operate near ditches, holes,
embankments, or other terrain fea-
tures which may collapse under the
tractor's weight. The risk of tractor
upset is even higher when the
ground is loose or wet.
18. When working in groups, always let
the others know what you are going
to do before you do it.
19. Never "freewheel". Disengaging the
clutch or shifting into neutral while
descending a slope could lead to a
loss of control.
