ADJUSTING TOE-IN

(1) Tie Rod
(2) Lock Nuts
1. Park tractor on a flat place.
2. Turn steering wheel so front wheels
are in the straight ahead position.
3. Lower the implement, lock the park
brake and stop the engine.
4. Measure distance between tire beads
at front of tire, hub height.
5. Measure distance between tire beads
at rear of tire, hub height.
6. Front distance should be 2 to 8 mm
less than rear distance. If not, adjust
tie rod length.
(A) Wheel - to - wheel distance at rear
(B) Wheel - to - wheel distance at front
ADJUSTING PROCEDURE
1. Loosen the lock nut and turn the turn-
buckle to adjust the rod length until the
proper toe-in measurement is obtained.
2. Retighten the lock nut.
