5.2 Troubleshooting Tips

When trouble occurs, please check the following points before contacting a
contractor.
Issue Possible Causes
Power failure
The power switch is off
The unit
is not The fuse is burned out
working
Remote control batteries are dead
The unit's 3-minute protection has been activated
Temperature setting may be higher than the ambient room temperature
The heat exchanger on the indoor or outdoor unit is dirty
The air fi lter is dirty
Poor cooling

The air inlet or outlet of either unit is blocked
Doors and windows are open
Excessive heat is generated by sunlight
Poor heating
Cold air is entering through doors and windows

Solution
Wait for the power to be restored
Turn on the power
Replace the fuse
Replace the remote control batteries
Wait three minutes after restarting the unit
Lower the temperature setting
Clean the aff ected heat exchanger
Clean fi lter according to instructions
Turn the unit off , remove the obstruction and turn back on
Make sure that all doors and windows are closed
Close blinds and curtains
Make sure that all doors and windows are closed during use
