Automatic Maintenance Function
Note:
This machine has the function to automatically perform periodical maintenance tasks, e.g.
to prevent the print heads from drying out. To ensure the maintenance is properly carried out,
please observe the following points:
 Make sure that the main power is on at all times.
 Never leave the front cover open for long periods.
Maintenance Schedule
Carry out maintenance on a daily basis.
To keep this machine in tip-top condition, make sure that daily maintenance is actually
performed every day.
Some maintenance tasks need to be carried out periodically.
To maintain reliable output conditions, some maintenance tasks need to be carried out at least
once a month.
Switch the sub power on at least every 2 weeks
Switch the sub power on at least every 2 weeks. When the sub power is on, operations to prevent
the print heads from drying out are automatically performed. If the machine is not used for a
long period of time, print heads may be damaged. It is important to include this task in your
maintenance schedule.
Maintain the temperature and humidity within the specified range
Even when the machine is not in use, maintain the temperature between 5 to 40 degrees Celsius,
with a relative humidity of 20 to 80%, with no condensation. Failure to keep the temperature and
humidity within the specified range may cause the machine to malfunction.

Metallic silver ink is particularly prone to separation; if left, such separated ingredients will dry and harden, and this may cause malfunction.

There are two kinds of maintenance: daily maintenance and periodical maintenance.
