Service Instruction
These instructions apply to:
Model 2 Rolscreen Retractable Screen 1997-2/2017
The tension system which controls the rewinding of the screen cloth is similar to a pull-down shade.
NOTE: If tension does not increase by winding spring per the following instructions, the spring may be broken.
Replace roller assembly.

Rolscreen Removal and Roller Tension Adjustment:

A. Remove cover if it is in place.
B. Position the screen by raising or lowering the screen so the
pull bar is 12" to 20" from the top. Remove each end of the
pull bar from the screen guides as shown.
C. Remove the screen from the screen assembly.
D. On the tab end of the roller assembly, position the
chamfer down.

Use the pliers to turn the tab clockwise 15 times to wind the spring. Before removing the pliers from the tab, turn the pliers counter-clockwise until the catch re-engages.
