Installation, Operation and Care Instruction

Please read and understand all the instruction steps before proceeding with Rolscreen installation.

PARTS REQUIRED:

• Rolscreen Assembly, Guides (LH & RH) and

attachment screws

TOOLS REQUIRED:

• Drill / Driver with #1 square head bit

• Flat blade screwdriver

Operating a retractable screen may result in a static discharge. A static discharge in the

CAUTION

presence of a flammable substance such as aerosol lubricant could cause ignition. To

avoid injury and/or property damage, do not use any flammable substance on a retractable screen.

NOTICE: Be sure to use a #1 square head bit when installing or removing the attachment screws.

Installing the Screen:

A. From the interior position the Rolscreen Assembly at the head of the window.

B. While holding the assembly in position, install an attachment screw (be sure to use a

driver with #1 square head bit) at a slight angle up (~25° ) in the hole of the end cap on

each side of the assembly.

Page 2 NOTE: It is critical the exterior side of each guide channel be positioned in the Rolscreen assembly end cap as shown and the bottom of each guide touch the sill stop and is pressed firmly against the jamb stops.

Page 4 Adjusting Roller Tension (continued): B. Make sure the screen is in the lowered/ closed position. C. Locate the gear on the left side of the screen cartridge. Use a flat blade screwdriver to push the gear so it clicks, each click equals 1/8 of a turn of tension addition, (8 clicks = 1 turn).
Page 5 Pull the bottom of the guide toward the center of the window, then pull it down to release it from the end cap. F. Remove the Rolscreen assembly by removing the attachment screws. G. Locate the slotted end of the screen assembly; to set the tensions - use a flat blade screwdriver to turn the spring assembly in the direction of the arrows.
