Rolscreen® Retractable Screen Cartridge Dis-Assembly and Assembly Service Instruction These instructions apply to: Tools Required: Rolscreen Retractable Screen 2/2017-Current • Flat blade screwdriver • Drill/driver with #1 square drive bit Operating a retractable screen may result in a static discharge. A static discharge in the CAUTION presence of a flammable substance such as aerosol lubricant could cause ignition.

Rolscreen Cartridge Removal (Continued): C. Remove the Rolscreen cartridge attachment screw from each end cap. Be sure to hold the Rolscreen cartridge when removing screws so it does not fall out of window. D. Remove the Rolscreen cartridge and set on smooth flat work surface.

Rolscreen Cartridge Disassembly (Continued): B. Push one end cap away from the screen roll, repeat on the other end and remove the screen roll. C. Grasp one of the end caps and the back cover and disconnect the cover from the end cap. Repeat on the other end.

Rolscreen Cartridge Assembly: A. Align the tab on one end cap with the slot in one end of the back cover press into place. Back cover snapped into end cap B. Repeat on the other side. Back cover snapped into end cap C.

Rolscreen Cartridge Assembly (Continued): D. On the other end, align the end cap star gear with the matching end of the tube. NOTE: In some cases it may be necessary to use a flat blade screwdriver to adjust the position of the star gear to align with the tube.

Rolscreen Cartridge Installation: A. From the interior position the Rolscreen Assembly at the head of the window. B. While holding the assembly in position, install an attachment screw at a slight angle up (~25° ) in the hole of the end caps on each side of the assembly.

NOTE: It is critical the exterior side of each guide channel be positioned in the Rolscreen assembly end cap as shown and the bottom of the guide touches the sill stop and pressed firmly against the jamb stops.
