If your Firman T07571 generator starts but does not continue to run, possible issues include:
1. Low oil level – The generator has a low oil shutdown feature. Fill the crankcase to the proper level and ensure the generator is on a level surface. 2. Dirty air cleaner – Even if other parts are new, a dirty air cleaner can cause shutdown. Clean or replace the air cleaner. 3. Fuel supply issues – Ensure the gasoline tank is full, LPG cylinder is not empty, or natural gas supply is adequate.
If none of these resolve the issue, contact an authorized dealer or Firman customer service.

What will make my generator crank up runs for a couple seconds then cut itself off but can crank it right back up if I choke it

A Firman T07571 generator that runs for a few seconds and then shuts off but restarts when choked may have a clogged or dirty carburetor, a restricted exhaust screen, or a dirty air filter. It could also have old or poor-quality fuel. Choking increases fuel flow, which can temporarily compensate for these issues. Cleaning the carburetor, air filter, and exhaust screen, and replacing old fuel, may resolve the problem.

If the tri-fuel switch on a Firman T07571 generator will not turn off the propane setting, first ensure the switch is fully functional and not physically stuck. Check that the main fuel selector switch is correctly positioned and not damaged. If the issue persists, inspect the switch mechanism and consider contacting customer service for further assistance.

The generator runs but no power is coming out of the outlets

If the Firman T07571 generator is running but not producing power from the 120V outlet, possible causes include:
1. Tripped Circuit Breaker – The breaker may have tripped, cutting power to the outlets. Check and reset it if necessary. 2. Faulty or Loose Connections – Inspect the wiring and outlet connections for any loose or damaged components. 3. Generator Not Properly Excited – If the generator has lost residual magnetism, it may need to be re-excited using an external power source. 4. Voltage Regulator Issue – A faulty automatic voltage regulator (AVR) can prevent power output. 5. High Altitude Operation – If operating at high altitudes without the correct carburetor jet, performance may be affected, though this primarily impacts engine operation rather than power output. 6. Fuel Type and Mode Selection – If switching between gasoline, propane, or natural gas, ensure the generator is properly set for the selected fuel type.
Checking these factors can help diagnose and resolve the issue.

OPERATION Reduce Risk of Fire WARNING! Exhaust heat/gases could ignite combustibles, structures or damage fuel tank causing a fire, resulting in death or serious injury. • Keep portable generator at least 5 ft. (1.5m) from any structure, trees or vegetation over 12 in.
Page 11
2, Oil and Gasoline / LPG/ NG Add Engine Oil We recommend using FIRMAN SAE 10W-30 API SL oil for best performance. Other high-quality detergent oils (API SL or higher) are acceptable. Do not use special additives. Ambient temperature determines the proper oil viscosity for the engine. Use the chart to select the proper oil for the outdoor temperature range expected.

OPERATION Connecting LPG/ NG Fuel WARNING! Liquid Petroleum gas (LPG) and Natural Gas (NG) are extremely flammable which could cause burns or fire resulting in death or serious injury. • • Do not place the LPG/NG sources in the path of muffler outlet or near any ignition source. Keep a fire extinguisher near the generator all the time.

Attach the NG hose (not included) to NG connector (inlet) on the control panel and the NG Source. We recommend you use FIRMAN 10ft Quick Connect Hose Kit (Model 1805) for Natural Gas (NG) connection (This item is not included). Make sure the NG source location and hose used allows the portable generator to be located at least 20 ft (6 m) from any occupied spaces.

Maintenance - Storage Long Term Storage It is important to prevent gum deposits from forming in essential fuel system components such as the carburetor, fuel hoses or tank during storage. Alcohol-blended fuels (called gasohol, ethanol or methanol) attract moisture, which leads to separation and formation of acids during storage. Acidic gas can damage the fuel system of an engine while in storage.
