Section 4. Spare Parts
1. Explanation of Spare Parts
The purpose of this section is to provide the user with a list of the recommended spare parts for their
particular unit. The form is divided into 5 columns. Beginning at the left side of the form and proceeding
to the right, columns are identified as follows:
a. "HOBART PART NUMBER" Column
Part numbers appearing in this column are Hobart numbers. These are the numbers to which a
customer should refer when purchasing spare parts, or identifying a part for servicing or
replacement.
b. "DESCRIPTION" Column
The item identifying name appears in this column.
c. "SPECIFICATION" Column
This column is used to indicate the applicability of parts to different models of equipment. When
more than one model of equipment is covered by a parts list, there are some parts which are used
only on one model. This column is used for insertion of the "Specification Number", to indicate these
parts and to identify the particular model on which they are used.
UNCODED PARTS ARE USED ON ALL MODELS (SPECIFICATIONS)
d. "MAINTENANCE LEVEL" Column
This column is used to determine the appropriate level of maintenance required.
(1) (RUNNING SPARES) - PARTS NECESSARY FOR OPERATION OF THE UNIT.
(2) (MAINTENANCE SPARES) - PARTS NECESSARY FOR OPERATION OF THE UNIT WITH
SOME
(3) (DEPOT SPARES) - PARTS NECESSARY FOR OPERATION OF THE UNIT WITH ALMOST
FULL
e. "QUANITY" Column
Numbers in this column indicate the quanity of parts recommended to maintain in inventory as
spare parts.
