d. OC ( 125%)- Overcurrent (125% Load) Fault
When the alarm indicator light marked OC (125%) comes on, this indicates that an overload
exceeding 125% lasted approximately 5 minutes before activating the alarm. Reset the alarm and
restart the unit. Monitor the load with a clamp-on ammeter. If the load is less than 125% of the rating
of the unit, monitor the unit for more than 5 minutes. If the alarm reoccurs even if the 125%
threshold has not been exceeded, it may be necessary to readjust a potentiometer on ALARM II
card.
e. OC (150%)- Overcurrent (150% Load) Fault
When alarm indicator light, OC 150% on ALARM II comes on, this indicates an overcurrent
condition is the same as in Paragraph D, above, except that the duration of the overload was 10
seconds before the alarm was activated.
f. Ø LOSS- Phase-Loss
When the indicating light marked Ø LOSS on ALARM II comes on, this indicates that the input
voltage on one or more phases is less than specification (See Chapter 1, Fig. 2).
If during a period of normal converter operation (converter on and powering an aircraft) a short term
loss of input power occurs, the phase loss fault will be activated and latched. When input power is
restored, the red indicator light will stay ON and the converter will restart only after the unit is
manually reset, by pressing the START/STOP button. This enables the operator to know why the
unit shut off even if the cause of the shutoff has been remedied.
