Choose speed for drilling operation and move belt to correct position for preferred speed 3. Push motor backward until moderate belt tension as required.

Move the stop nuts to the lowest position and lock into place with a wrench to prevent quill dropping while tensioning spring 2. Place screwdriver in lower front notch (A) of spring cap (B) and hold it in place while loosening and removing nuts.
