Diagnostics From The Board
Gas Valve
Check igniter/flame visual as
describe on slide 36.
If no visual, check voltage out
to igniter from J2 Red wire to
the White wire on the J8.
Should see 120 volts. Amp
draw can be checked from the
RED wire on the J2 connecter.
Approximately 3.5 amps
J8
Above diagram shows only non long vent and non steam
J2
J4
models.
Also check between J4 and J2.
If relay is closed NO voltage
should be present when calling
for heat. If it is, replace the
board.
If voltage is present,
disconnect power from the
dryer. Check igniter, T-STATs,
flame detect, gas valve coils,
motor switch, harness and
connecters.
