    Operator’s Manual: BTS-2950 3.2 COMPONENTS AND CONTROLS Before starting to work, all operators should familiarize themselves with the location and function of the components and controls. Gas Engine: Read the engine manufacturer’s manual for more detailed instructions. a. Ignition Switch: This switch controls the electrical power to the engine electrical system.
  • Page 24 Operator’s Manual: BTS-2950 Engine Mount: The bolts on the engine mount, set the position of the engine base. Loosen the bolts to move the engine base away from the drive pulley, disengaging the belt. Tighten bolts to engage drive belt.
  • Page 25 Operator’s Manual: BTS-2950 Remote Control (Optional): This remote control controls a majority of the functions of the tender. The remote control comes with a lanyard, equipped with a safety quick release. The remote control receiver is mounted on the right side of the conveyor frame, beside the engine.
  • Page 26 Operator’s Manual: BTS-2950 Pivot Track: The track sits on the base of the tender. The conveyor pivots around the left side of the tender, rolling on it. On a standard track, the Pivot Roller Bracket sits on top of the track and uses roller bearings to move.

    Operator’s Manual: BTS-2950 4.3 MAINTENANCE By following a careful service and maintenance program for your machine, you will enjoy many years of trouble-free service. 4.3.1 Conveyor Belt Tension: The tension of the belt should be checked weekly, or more often if required. Be sure that it does not slip or run to one side.
