BOIL-DRY PROTECTION

Should you accidentally let the kettle operate without water, the boil-dry protection will
switch off the power. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool down completely before filling
it again with cool water.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
• Never immerse the kettle, power cord or power base in water, or allow moisture to
contact with these parts.
• Wipe the appearance of body with a mild and damp cloth or cleaner, never use a toxic
cleaner.
NOTE! Do not use chemical, steel, wooden or abrasive cleaners to clean the outside
of the kettle, this is to prevent the gloss from becoming matt.
• When the kettle not in use, store the power cord in the cord storage under the base.
REMOVEL OF MINERAL DEPOSITS
Your kettle should be periodically descaled to get rid of mineral deposits that are in tap
water. The deposits may form scale on the bottom of the kettle and cause the efficiency
of operation to drop. You can use a commercially available descale solution and follow
the instructions on the package, or follow the instructions below:
1. Fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar; add water to cover the bottom of the kettle
completely. Leave the solution in the kettle overnight.
2. Discard the mixture in the kettle, fill it with clean water. Boil the water and discard it.
Repeat this several times until the odor of vinegar has been flushed away. Any stains
remaining inside the spout can me removed by rubbing with a damp clot.
