Connecting the loudspeakers

Connect the loudspeaker phono cables to the colour-
coded sockets on the right of the player marked
"SPEAKER OUT". Red is used for the right-hand
loudspeaker socket, white for the left-hand loudspeaker
socket.

AUX IN (Line in) socket

You can use the AUX IN socket (press the FUNCTION button until AUX appears in the
display) for connecting an external audio signal (e.g. from a cassette recorder).
Switch the player to standby mode.
Switch your external unit off.
Plug the end of the phono cable (not supplied) into the
AUX input socket on the right-hand side of the player
(note correct polarity of right and left channels).
Plug the other end of the phono cable into your external
unit.
Switch your external unit on.
Switch your player on using the STANDBY button.
Press the FUNCTION button on the remote control or on the player until "AUX"
appears in the display. The audio signal from your external unit will now be
reproduced.
