Safety instructions

Please observe the following safety instructions carefully before putting the
device into operation. Take note of the warnings on the device and in this
manual. Always keep the instruction manual near at hand. If you sell or
pass on the product, make sure to include this manual with the unit.

Keep electrical equipment out of reach of children

This device is not intended for use by people (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or mental abilities nor for use by people not in possession of the
required experience and information for its use unless supervised or where
instructions on its operation have been provided by a person charged with the
person's safety.
Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with this unit.
If swallowed, batteries may be life-threatening. Therefore keep the unit and batteries
out of reach of small children. If a battery is swallowed, please seek medical
assistance immediately.
Keep plastic packaging out of reach of children. It may cause suffocation.

Mounting the appliance safely

Place the player on a stable, level surface. This player is not designed for use in rooms
with high humidity levels (e.g. bathrooms).
Always ensure that:
there are no direct heat sources (e.g. heaters) that could affect the player;
the player is not in direct sunlight;
there is no contact with moisture, water and splashes;
containers with fluid (vases or similar) are not placed on the device; the unit is not
positioned close to magnet fields (e.g. TV sets or other speakers);
there are no naked flames (e.g. lit candles) near the player.
Caution!
Note the minimum safe distances and under no circumstances cover the ventilation
slots. There should be a gap of 20 cm on all sides to ensure adequate ventilation.
The vents on the player must not be covered or blocked.
Allow access to the mains power socket.
Always connect the player to a power point (230V ~ 50Hz) that is easily accessible
and close to the place where you have set the player up. The power socket must be
freely accessible so that you can unplug the player quickly if necessary.
