Hi. i need some assistance in increasing the efficiency of the super chiller. how can i do this.
To increase the efficiency of the Hoshizaki S8E V2.5 Hi-Carb Superchiller:
1. Ensure Proper Insulation: Insulate all lines from the python to the Superchiller connections to prevent condensation.
2. Extend Soda Circuit for High Volume Use: For short python lengths in high-volume accounts, connect the two spare lines in the python to the soda return line to create a double pass of the soda circuit. This provides additional soda reserve.
3. Annual Maintenance:
- Inspect and clean the water bath, coils, and agitator to remove algae or slime.
- Check and clean the recirculation pump strainers; replace if necessary.
- Refill the tank with clean water until it overflows.
4. Check Pump Flow: Ensure the recirculation pump provides at least 5 litres per minute. Replace the pump if the flow is lower.
5. Sanitise Annually: Clean and sanitise the Superchiller and beverage system components yearly to maintain product quality.
6. Correct CO₂ Pressure: Set the CO₂ regulator to 550 kPa for proper carbonator operation.
7. Use Correct Power Supply: Ensure the unit is connected to a 10 amp (Postmix) and a 15 amp (Refrigeration) power supply as specified.
8. Avoid New Carbon Filter Water: Do not use water from a newly installed carbon filter when filling the unit, as it may affect ice bank control.
