  • Page 6 • Checks to the refrigeration equipment Where electrical components are being changed, they shall be fit for the purpose and to the correct specification. At all times the manufacturer's maintenance and service guidelines shall be followed. If in doubt consult the manufacturer's technical department for assistance.
  • Page 7 • Repair to intrinsically safe components Do not apply any permanent inductive or capacitance loads to the circuit without ensuring that this will not exceed the permissible voltage and current permitted for the equipment in use. Intrinsically safe components are the only types that can be worked on while live in the presence of a flammable atmosphere.
  • Page 8 • Charging procedures In addition to conventional charging procedures, the following requirements shall be followed. Ensure that contamination of different refrigerants does not occur when using charging equipment. Hoses or lines shall be as short as possible to minimise the amount of refrigerant contained in them. Cylinders shall be kept upright.
  • Page 9 • Recovery When removing refrigerant from a system, either for servicing or decommissioning, it is recommended good practice that all refrigerants are removed safely. When transferring refrigerant into cylinders, ensure that only appropriate refrigerant recovery cylinders are employed. Ensure that the correct number of cylinders for holding the total system charge is available.

    Installation PREPARATION NOTE: All the illustrations in the manual are for explanatory purposes only. Your machine may be slightly different, but the actual shape will be similar. The unit can be controlled by the unit control panel alone or with the remote controller. EXHAUST HOSE INSTALLATION The exhaust hose and adaptor must be installed or removed in accordance with the usage mode.

    Installation HOW TO STAY COOL WITH A PORTABLE AIR CONDITIONER Because of a new MEPS test procedure for Portable Air Conditioners, you may notice that the cooling capacity claims on portable air conditioner packaging are significantly lower than that of models produced prior to 2020. This is due to changes in the test procedure, not to the portable air conditioners themselves.

  • Page 17 Installation NOTE: Once the Exhaust Hose assembly and Adjustable Window Slider are prepared, choose from one of the following two installation methods.     Functions ON/OFF Press to turn the unit on/off. MODE Press the MODE button to select the appropriate operating MODE. The modes that can be selected, follow this sequence COOL > FAN > DRY and AUTO. The selected mode indicator light will illuminate on the control panel. FAN MODE Press the MODE button until the FAN indicator light comes on.

    Functions LED DISPLAY The LED display shows the set temperature while on COOL or AUTO MODE. While in DRY and FAN MODE, it shows the ambient room temperature. ERROR CODES - PCB error, contact the manufacturer. - Room temperature sensor error. - Evaporator temperature sensor error.

    Functions AUTO-RESTART If the unit turns off unexpectedly due to a power cut, it will automatically restart in the previous settings when the power resumes. Please point to the receiver and be within 8m when using the remote control. 3. If the battery voltage is low, please open the battery cover as per the diagram and replace with new batteries (2 x AAA).

    Cleaning SAFETY PRECAUTIONS • Always unplug the unit before cleaning or servicing. • DO NOT use flammable liquids or chemicals to clean the unit. • DO NOT wash the unit under running water. Doing so causes electrical danger. • DO NOT operate the machine if the power supply was damaged during cleaning. A damaged power cord must be replaced with a new cord from the manufacturer.
