Caution
installing 4 CSC-2Rs and 2 CSC-C2CTRs. (Two ciscoBus slots are used as Multibus slots.) The
number of ciscoBus interfaces is limited by space available for applique card cages and power
budget limits. Because the slower Multibus interfaces always have higher priority than ciscoBus
interfaces, traffic on the Multibus may degrade performance of ciscoBus interfaces that are not
autonomously switched; therefore, we do not recommend this configuration for
performance-sensitive applications.

Power Budget
In an AGS+ shipped on or after October 1, 1991, the total power drawn by all installed cards must
not exceed 300W per chassis. In AGS+ chassis shipped before October 1, 1991, the total power must
not exceed 260W. (The earlier chassis contained a 5A circuit breaker, rather than the 7.5A circuit
used in the current chassis configuration.) Table 4 lists the power requirements for each card
available for the AGS+, including the CSC-C2CTR. The values for the CSC-C2CTR were measured
with four Token Ring interfaces active and include power drawn by the appliques.
Note
or Multibus Token Ring interface cards are installed in the system. For compatibility limitations,
refer to the following section, "Compatibility with Other Cards."
The maximum number of Token Ring interfaces in a chassis is 16, which is the result of
