Operation
Preparation
Keep the packaging material for safe storage or transport
later.
f Check that the contents are complete.
f Check all the parts for possible transport damage.
Safety
Caution! Damage due to incorrect power supply.
f Only operate the appliance with the voltage stated on
the nameplate.
Charging the battery
1. Connect the appliance plug of the plug-in transformer to the charg-
ing stand socket (Fig. 4ⓐ).
·
The appliance can also be connected directly to the
plug-in transformer for charging (Fig. 2ⓐ/ⓑ).
·
Battery overcharging is prevented thanks to intelligent
charge management.
2. Connect the plug-in transformer to the mains socket (Fig. 4ⓑ).
3. Switch off the appliance using the on/off switch (Fig. 3).
4. Place the appliance in the charging stand (Fig. 4) or connect
directly to the plug-in transformer (Fig. 2ⓐ/ⓑ). The charging
process starts.
·
During the charging operation, the on/off switch flashes
white. The on/off switch is illuminated when the battery
is fully charged.
·
The accuracy of the battery power indicator can be
increased by fully discharging the battery from time
to time and then recharging it in one uninterrupted
charging process.
5. Once the battery is fully charged, the on/off switch will be
illuminated.
Battery operation
1. Switch on the appliance using the on/off switch (Fig. 3).
·
The appliance has three speed settings S1 – S3.
·
The desired speed setting can be selected by keep-
ing the on/off switch pressed. The appliance changes
the speed setting every two seconds. Release the on/
off switch when the desired speed setting has been
reached.
·
When the appliance is switched on, it is set to the speed
setting used last.
2. Select the desired speed by keeping the on/off switch pressed
(Fig. 3) and then release it when the desired speed setting has
been reached.
·
The battery power indicator on the on/off switch will
start flashing when the battery has < 5% power remain-
ing. The battery needs to be recharged.
·
In case of insufficient maintenance of the blade set, the
operating time can be reduced considerably.
3. Use the on/off switch to switch off the appliance after use (Fig. 3).
Mains operation
Caution! Damage due to use of the hair clipper with the
plug-in transformer permanently plugged in (mains
operation)
The hair clipper is not designed to be used with the plug-in
transformer permanently plugged in (mains operation). The
plug-in transformer connecting cable is not designed for
mechanical stress in continuous operation.
f Mains operation is only recommended for short periods
of use, in the event of an empty battery.
1. Connect the appliance plug on the plug-in transformer to the appli-
ance socket (Fig. 2ⓐ).
2. Connect the plug-in transformer to the mains socket (Fig. 2ⓑ).
3. Switch on the appliance using the on/off switch (Fig. 3).
4. Select the desired speed by keeping the on/off switch pressed
(Fig. 3).
5. Use the on/off switch to switch off the appliance after use (Fig. 3).
Operation
Cutting with attachment comb
The appliance can also be operated with an attachment comb.
f The attachment comb has 5 detent positions for adjusting the cut-
ting length.
f The further the attachment comb is pushed onto the blade set, the
shorter the cutting length.
The cutting length can be adjusted from 3 mm (Fig. 6ⓐ) to
6 mm (Fig. 6ⓑ).
Attaching/removing the attachment comb
1. Slide the attachment comb onto the blade set (Fig. 5ⓐ) in the
direction of the arrow until it locks in place.
2. The attachment comb can be removed by pushing it in the direc-
tion of the arrow (Fig. 5ⓑ).
