    Setup and operation Fields of application The oil-flooded rotary vane vacuum pumps V-VCS and V-VCX are suitable for creating vacuums. The nom- inal suction power with unrestricted suction is 200 and 300 m /h at 50 Hz. Data sheet D 236 shows the de- pendency of the pumping capacity on the intake pressure.

    Maintenance and repair 7.2.1 Air filtering WARNING Risk of injuries due to rotating parts! If the inlet flange has been removed, there will be the risk of injury on rotating parts when reaching in. Ø Before demounting of the inlet flange, disconnect the pump from the power sup- ply and secure it against accidental restart.

    Maintenance and repair 7.2.2 Coupling Property damage due to defective coupling sleeve! NOTICE Defective sleeves can cause breaking of the rotor shaft and blackout failure of the machine. Ø Regularly check the coupling sleeve for wear. Property damage due to frequent starting and high ambient temperature! NOTICE Frequent starting and high ambient temperature reduces the lifetime of the sleeve.

    Maintenance and repair 7.2.3 Change the oil CAUTION Risk of injury due to slipping and falling! The floor can be slippery due to leaked oil and cause slipping, tripping or falling. Ø For oil change wear non-slip shoes. Ø Remove leaked oil immediately. Always change the oil when the machine is at operating temperature and in an atmospherically ventilated area.

Replace these elements (Fig. 7/L) every 2,000 operating hours or at a filter resistance of 700 mbar. Cleaning is not possible.
