WRITING NEW PROGRAM TO FLASH MEMORY
A new version of the system program may be supplied from time to time in order to improve the functionality and
performance of the control unit.
The DU1A control unit, key and pedal drive unit, key sensor unit, and MN-PS unit each incorporate a separate
CPU, with each unit running under the control of a dedicated program.
The system program version upgrade involves upgrade of a portion of the control unit control program.
For the SEP prior to HQ-SXG, the version is upgraded by replacing the ROM, however with the DU1A the
upgrade is achieved by transferring the new program from a floppy disk to the flash memory in the DU1A by
operation from the panel on the control unit.
The upgraded system program is retained in memory during operation, and while power is OFF.
(See the following page for operating procedure.)
If power is switched OFF, or the disk is removed from the floppy disk drive, during the version upgrade, the
upgrade will be incomplete and the system will not operate correctly when power is switched ON again.
Switch power ON while pressing the [PLAY/PAUSE] button again and repeat the version upgrade procedure.
