Driving the cruiser

Correct driving influences:
your safety
-
the life time of the cruiser
-
the use of fuel
-
1. After starting the engine you activate the clutch (picture 1 pos. 4) on the left side and the
gear pedal is pushed down with you left foot to 1. gear. Release the clutch slowly while at
the same time turning the throttle carefully. Turn the throttle more, until the cruiser runs
smoothly. Release the throttle, activate the clutch and press the gear pedal down again
passing the idling to 2. gear. 3, 4, and 5. gear lie above 2. gear.
2. When changing to a lower gear, you should activate the clutch and lift up the gear pedal
with your foot under the pedal. Change one gear at a time.
Note: Never go directly from a high gear to a low gear, as this wears the engine and gear box.
Always reduce speed slowly. Never change gear without using the clutch.
Never ride the cruiser when the roads have been salted, as salt rapidly destroys the chrome.
If the cruiser has been used on salted roads you should wash it and wipe it over with a soft cloth.
You may spray the cruiser with oil, free from acid.
