Adjustment of the chain is done like this: Place the cruiser on the centre stand. The engine must
be turned off. Grab the chain with two fingers and move the chain up and down. It may not move
more than 10-20 mm.:
If adjustment is needed, you do like this
1. Loosen the rear axle.
2. Tighten or loosen the nut for the tightener of the chain to give the chain the correct
tightness. Make sure that the chain runs straight and that the chain is tightened the same
on both sides. If it is not possible to tighten the chain sufficiently the chain must be
replaced.
3. Tighten the rear axle with 30-44 mm. After tightening you must check that the chain has
the correct tightness.
4. Check and adjust the rear brake, when you have adjusted the chain.
Check the brake as the adjustment may have influence on the idling of the brake pedal.
Loosen the rear axle and the lock nut on the tighteners for the chain. The adjustments on the right
and left side must be the same. Having done the adjustment you must tighten the lock nuts and
the rear axle. Check the brake, as the adjustment may have influence on the idling of the brake
pedal.
