4-2 Hardware Self Diagnostics Tool

The Hardware Self Diagnostics tool diagnoses the state
of the system.
If there appear to be problems with the system, use this
tool to check the system state, and improve the
efficiency with which support can be provided.
Starting the Hardware Self Diagnostics
tool
Use the following procedure.

Exit the XPRI Editing Software.
Note
It is not possible to start this tool while the XPRI
Editing Software is running.

Select Start > Programs > Sony DMW > Hardware
Self Diagnostics.

Double-click the link icon for the board you want
to test.
The Hardware Self Diagnostics dialog appears.

Click the Start button in the dialog to start the test.
Checking version information
The version is displayed for the following hardware:
• Main unit AV I/O block
• HDTV Interface Board
• SDTI Interface Board
• Realtime video processing board
• SDTV realtime processing board
• Control panels
• TC/GPI interface unit
• 9-pin remote interface unit

Click the menu button for the XPRI Editing
Software in the taskbar, and in the displayed menu
select Configuration...
The Configuration dialog appears.

In the Configuration dialog, click the System tab,
and in the displayed list of icons double-click the
System Properties icon.
The System Properties dialog appears.

In the System Properties dialog, click the
Hardware tab, to check the version.
