To select OPTICAL function:
Press the INPUT button repeatedly on the sound bar or remote control to select "OPTICAL".
To select AUDIO IN function:
Press the INPUT button repeatedly on the sound bar or remote control to select "AUDIO IN".

Open the battery cover.

Insert the supplied batteries according to the
direction indicated in the battery compartment.
When inserting or removing the batteries, push them
towards the
battery terminals.

Close the battery cover.
Note:
Battery
Approx. 6 months (UM/SUM-3)
life
Condition: Approx. 100 times key press per day.
Battery life may vary depending on the temperature, bat-
tery types and usage condition.

Caution:
z Replace all old batteries with new ones at the same
time.
z Do not mix old and new batteries.
z Remove the batteries if the sound bar will not be used
for a long period of time. This will prevent battery
deterioration and potential damage due to battery
leakage.
z Do not use rechargeable battery (nickel-cadmium
battery, etc.).
z Installing the batteries incorrectly may cause the
sound bar to malfunction.
z Batteries (battery pack or battery installed) shall not
be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire
or the like.
Notes concerning use:
z Replace the batteries if the operating distance is
reduced or if the operation becomes erratic. Purchase
2 "AA" size batteries (UM/SUM-3, R6, HP-7 or similar).
z Periodically clean the transmitter on the remote control
with a soft cloth.
z Keep the remote control away from moisture, heat,
shock, and vibrations.
