Videoconference tips

Tips to improve a virtual meeting, to optimize audio-video transmission and
reception, and to fully enjoy all videoconference benefits.
Before starting a videoconference be sure that all you need is ready:
addresses or numbers to call, lightning, microphones.
Connect and test all peripherals eventually needed (document camera,
VCR, PC/Laptop)
Remind all participants to join the videoconference
Avoid contemporaneous usage of natural and artificial lightning
Avoid direct artificial lightning.
Avoid "mobile" backgrounds (curtains moved by the wind)
Frame, when possible, the participants rather than the background
Place the microphone on the table in front of people (use 2 microphones in
case of big tables)
Do not place papers or other objects in front of the microphone
Don't rustle papers or tap on the table or microphone
Mute the microphone before moving it.
Speak in your normal voice
