    Top and front panels 1. USB JACK Plug the USB device. 2. VOLUME adjusts volume level 3. FM STEREO INDICATOR shows the FM stereo indication 4. REMOTE CONTROL SENSOR receive the signal from the remote control (For CD only). 5. DISPLAY shows the CD functio.

    USING AC POWER Check if the power voltage, as shown on the type plate located on the rear of the set, corre - sponds to your local AC power supply. If it does not, consult your dealer or service centre. Connect the power cord to the AC MAINS inlet Wall outlet.

    • At the very beginning and end of the tape, no recording will take place during the 7 seconds, when the leader tape passes the recorder heads. • To protect a tape from accidental erasure, have the tape in front of you and break out the left tab. Recor - ding on this side is no longer possible.
  • Page 8 CD / MP3 / WMA PLAYBACK This CD-player can play Audio Discs, MP3, CD-R and CD-RW. Do not try to play CD-ROM, CDi, VCD, DVD or Computer CD. Slide the FUNCTION selector to CD, the display becomes active. Display: shown "cd" briefly. To open the CD door, press the CD door at the edge marked CLOSE/OPEN.
  • Page 9 Notice for CD-R/CD-RW users: Depending on the type of CD writer, disc brand and writing speed, some reading problems may occur. CD AND PLAYER HANDLING • The Lens of the CD player should never be touched! • Sudden changes in the surrounding temperature can cause condensation to form and the lens of your CD player to cloud over.

    TROUBLESHOOTING If a fault occurs, first check the points listed below before taking the set for repair . Do not open the set as there is a risk of electric shock. Warning: Under no circumstances should you try to repair the set yourself, as this will invalidate the war- ranty.
