    ENGLISH Power failure backup batteries • In the event of a power failure, settings (e.g. the time) will be deleted. To prevent this from happening, the device has power failure protection batteries. • Open the battery compartment (24) on the back of the device and insert two 1.5V, type AAA/UM-4 batteries. These batteries are not included.

    ENGLISH Display lighting • You can set the brightness of the display panel by means of the DIMMER switch (19) on the back of the device. • The panel is brightly lit, when the switch is in the BRIGHT position. In the DIM position, the display panel will fade.

    ENGLISH Playing mode • Switch the device into playback mode and insert an audio CD as as previously described. • In the display (7), the total number of tracks on the CD will be shown for 2 seconds. The display will change to indicate the time.

    ENGLISH Deleting a playback list • While in stop mode, press the PROGRAM button (9). The programmed track number and LED indicator PROGRAM (G) will blink in the display (7). • Now hold the button (13) down for approx. 3 seconds. The time will be shown in the display. This means that the playback list has been deleted.
