4 Machine description

4.1 Function

The HOAF WeedAir® 50/75i is used for
heating unwanted vegetation on virtually
all kinds of paved and unpaved surfaces,
using air.
At a speed of 1.5 km/h, you can:
• Treat approx. 750 m2 per hour
with the HOAF WeedAir® 50i.
• Treat approx. 1125 m2 per hour
with the HOAF WeedAir® 75i.
The burner system in the burner box
ensures a direct transfer of hot air to
plants and the soil. The heat-resistant
wire mesh provided under the burner will
glow so that infrared radiation is emitted.
4.2 Use of the HOAF WeedAir® 50/75i
Pressing the ignition button triggers a
spark plug which ignites the gas flow at
the burner. 
This heats the thermocouple and the
current temperature is shown on the
display. You can see the spark plug in the
picture.
Take care not to bend the spark plug when
cleaning the HOAF WeedAir® 50/75i.
