To stop during play, press STOP 7 on the unit or 7 on the
remote control.
To remove the disc, press CD1 0, CD2 0, or CD3 0,
corresponding to the disc you want to eject.
Playing Back the Entire Disc
— Continuous Play
You can play CDs continuously.
1 Load CDs.
2 Press LONG PLAY.
The LONG PLAY indicator lights up
on the display, and playback of the
currently selected CD starts.
CD playback sequence
When 3 CDs are loaded on the disc trays, they are played in
one of the following sequences.
• When playback starts from CD1 : CD1 ] CD2 ] CD3
(then stops)
• When playback starts from CD2 : CD2 ] CD3 ] CD1
(then stops)
• When playback starts from CD3 : CD3 ] CD1 ] CD2
(then stops)
When only 2 CDs are loaded, they are played in the same
order, but the disc tray without a CD is skipped.

Basic CD Operations

While playing a CD, you can do the following operations.
To exchange CDs during playback of another
Press CD1 0, CD2 0, or CD3 0, which corresponds to the
CD not being played, to eject and exchange the CD.
To stop play for a moment
Press CD 6 on the unit or 6 on the
remote control.
While pausing, the elapsed playing time
flashes on the display.
To resume playback, press the button
again.
To locate a particular point in a track
During playback, press and hold
UP ¢ or DOWN 4.
• DOWN 4 : Fast reverses the disc.
• UP ¢ :
Fast forwards the disc.
When using the remote control, press
and hold 4 or ¢.
To go to another track
Press UP ¢ or DOWN 4
repeatedly during playback or in stop
mode.

To go to another track directly using the number
buttons
Pressing the number button(s) in stop
mode or during playback allows you to
start playing back the track with the
specified track number.
Ex.: For track number 5, press 5.
For track number 15, press +10
then 5.
For track number 20, press +10,
then 10.
For track number 32, press +10,
+10, +10, then 2.
Programming the Playing Order of the Tracks
— Program Play
You can arrange the order in which the tracks play before you
start playing, using the remote control. You can program up to
20 tracks.
• To repeat program play, press REPEAT on the remote
control after starting the program play.
1 Load discs.
2 Press PROGRAM.

3 Press one of the CD
playback buttons (1 - 3) to
select the disc number you
want to play.
