Parts are easily replaced as needed, requiring only basic tools. To assist with orientation during flight, a set of high intensity LED lights are mounted fore and aft. The Alpha 250Q is supplied with Graupner high efficiency C-Props which have been designed from the ground up to deliver better performance, less noise and longer flight times.

INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY High intensity LED light system External JST power bus for FPV equipment FLIGHT PREPARATIONS Your Alpha 250Q comes pre-assembled and all settings on the flight have been pre-wired and their rotation direction have been set at the factory.
INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY When attaching the battery make sure the Alpha 250Q is not moved for at least 4-5 seconds to allow for gyro initialization. 5. To test proper operation of the motors turn switch S1 to the on position and slowly push the throttle stick until the motors start spinning.
INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY The Alpha 250Q comes with two sets of propellers that are designed to either turn clockwise or counter clockwise. Each set has its own colour and it does not matter which colour you choose for the rear or the back for as long as you keep in mind the rotation direction of each propeller.
INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY In case the Alpha 250Q is not hovering at a level flight attitude you should check the neutral position of the trims or perform a new level calibration (this is explained in the GR-18 flight controller section. Build up some experience flying the Alpha 250Q before switching from Attitude mode to Rate mode.

INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY STEP TWO: Go to the “m.type+quick” menu and select “model type”. Setup the motor at C1 to “idle re.” and the cutoff switch (motor on/off) to S1. Also note the model settings STEP THREE: Go to the “cont. sett.” menu and assign channel 5 to switch S3 to control attitude and rate mode.
Other Graupner radio models may have similar settings depending on user preferences. Please check the Graupner websites and support forums for available models. In any case always consult your radio manual first to ensure proper use of the many available setting options.
For any improper use no warranty or liability is accepted. Read through this manual to familiarize yourself with the product before you attempt to program or setup the receiver. INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY MODE Before you can use your multicopter you will need to calibrate your throttle in order for the GR-18 to learn the max and min range of your throttle channel. In order to do so set the controller mode from NORMAL ESC SET and go back to your transmitter main menu...
INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY The GR-18 can log important flight data to any HoTT radio equipped with an SD memory card. Setting one is the default for telemetry log settings. Selectable Values: 0 = No logging 1 = Roll and Nick logging CALIBR.
Multicopters the value can be 100. If, because of its centre of gravity, the Multicopter is more agile on the Roll axis than on the Nick axis, then you can change here the roll factor. In the Graupner ALPHA RACE 250Q this value is set about 65%.
INNOVATION & TECHNOLOGY AGILITY: Agility determines at what speed (yaw rate) a new position is occupied. ONLY FOR RATE MODE: R/N RATE I: Sets the I component of the rotation in rate mode. At too low values the Multicopter may swing slowly. However, it it stops after a roll or RATE: Sets the maximum rate of rotation in Rate mode.
You will need the latest Firmware Update Studio program which can be downloaded from www.graupnerusa.com or www.graupner.com. Connect the adapter lead to the USB interface (order no. 7168.6). The connectors are reverse polarity protected: note the small chamfers on the sides. Never use force the connectors should engage easily.
