  • Page 10: Relay Output

www.atestgaz.pl Relay output The EcoAlpa control unit has three relay outputs: R1 – Failure This output may adopt one of two possible states: it is closed if no failure is detected within the Gas Detection System or opens when at least one defect is detected in any device incorporated into the system or when power voltage failure takes place.

www.atestgaz.pl Relay output Description Failure The relay is activated when any component of the gas detection system is defective. Warning The relay is set to the active mode when any gas detector reports exceeding of the gas concentration about the warning level. Valve For the design option designated as EcoAlpa P17 230V AC that relay output is used to control a shutoff valve with the power supply voltage of 230V.

www.atestgaz.pl 6.2.3 Battery failure When voltage across the battery contacts drops below the permissible threshold the control unit informs about the problem by means of the BATTERY FAILURE indicator. The indicator is inactive (irrelevant) for the design option of the control unit that collaborates with a shutoff valve provided with a coil for control voltage of 230V AC.
  • Page 15: External Alarm Indicator

www.atestgaz.pl depressing the button MEMORY button for about 5 seconds means that operator has already read the historical status and the memory can be erased. Afterwards the control unit moves to the mode of regular operation, if no action is undertaken by an operator in 30 seconds after entering the mode of historical events retrieving or after an alarm, warning or failure event takes place the control unit automatically quits the mode of memory readouts.

www.atestgaz.pl Remote valve control module – ZMZ The External Shutoff module is a device supplementary for the EcoAlpa Control Unit and its use is necessary when the shutoff valve has to be installed far away from the control unit. Such a solution eliminates to need to use cables with large cross sections to connect the control unit and the valve.
