IMPORTANT INFORMATION Study these instructions carefully and completely before installation. Installation must conform to Local Codes, or, in the absence of Local Codes, with the Current National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI 2223.1 (USA); Canadian installation must fotlow CAN/CGA-BI49-1 or 2 (latest Edition). Maintain clearances for servicing and proper operation.
I N STALI-^ATION I NSTR UCTIONS The appliance; when installed must be electrically connected and grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the current CSA C22-1 Canadian Electrical Code (Canada) or the National Electrical Code ANSI/NFPA TGlatest edition (USA). Keep appliance area clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline, and other llammable liquids and vapours.

LOG ASSEMBLY fne logs MUST be placed exactly as shown. lf there is any IMPORTANI evidence of carbon, or blackening on the logs, they may be incorrectly placed. (1). On Vertical installations two (2) 45' elbows are allowed. The Century Heating G600 has been tested for a minimum 1' rise wlth a maximum 1' horizontal run. This includes stove clearances and wall thickness.
H ORIZONTAL I NSTALIATI ON Step 1. Set lhe appliance in it's desired location. Check to determine if wall studs or roof rafters are in the way when the venting system is attached. lf this is the case, you may want to adjust the location of the appliance.

NOTE: The horizontal run of vent must be level, or have a 1/4-inch rise for every run towards the termination. Never allow the vent to run downward. cause high temperatures and may present the possibility of a fire' The locaiion of the horizontal vent termination on an exterior wall must meet all local and nationat building codes, and must not be easily blocked or obstructed.

Step 6. SliOe the appliance and vent assembly towards the wall, carefully inserting the vent pipe into the vent cap assembly. lt is important that the vent pipe extend into the vent cap sufficient distance so as to resuft in a minimum pipe overlap of 1-114 inches.

from the roof to the hole previously drilled in the ceiling, and mark the spot where the vent will penetrate the roof. Determine if ceiling joists, roof rafters, or olher framing will obstruct the venting system. You may wish to relocate the appliance, or to offset, as shown in Fig.

Step 7. Stip the flashing over the Pipe Section(s) protruding through the roof. Secure the base of the Flashing to the roof with roofing nails. Insure the roofing material overlaps the top edge of the Flashing as shown in Fig. 14. Verify that you have at minimum' clearance to least combustibles at the roofline.
cATHEDRALcEtLtNG Step 1. rollow installation Steps 1 and 2 under Vertical Terminations. Step 2. Using the plumb bob, mark the centre- line of the venting system on the ceiling and drill a small hole through the ceiling . and roof at this point. From the roof, locate the drill hole and mark the outline of the Cathedral Ceiling Support Box.
GENERAL MAINTENANCE Conduct an inspection of the venting system semiannually. Recommended areas to inspect are as follows: 1. Check areas of the Venting System which are exposed to the etements for corrosion. These will appear as rust spots or streaks, and in extreme cases, holes.

LIGHTING INSTRUCTIONS 1) STOP! Read the safety information. 2l Push in the gas control knob slightly position. NOTE: Knob cannot be turned knob is pushed in slightly. Do not force. 3) Wait five (5) minutes to clear out any gas. lf you then smell g?s, STOP! Follow "B"...

This guide will assist a qualified service person in the diagnosis of problems and the corrective action to be taken.
