4. Safety

These installation and operating instructions contain
general instructions that must be observed during
installation, operation and maintenance of the
electric stirrer. They must be read by the installation
engineer and the relevant qualified operator prior to
installation and start-up, and must be available at the
installation location at all times.

4.1 Safety-conscious working

The safety notices in these instructions should be
observed in the same way as statutory health and
safety at work guidelines and the operating and
safety notices provided by the operating company.
Risks of not observing the safety instructions
Non-observance of the safety instructions may have
dangerous consequences for the personnel, the
environment and the product, and may result in the
loss of any claims for damages.
It may lead to the following hazards:
Personal injury from exposure to electrical,
mechanical and chemical influences.
Damage to the environment and personal injury
from leakage of harmful substances.
Failure of important functions of the system.
4.2 Safety notices for the operating
company and the operator
Hazards caused by electrical energy must be
prevented (for more details, please consult the
relevant regulations).
Warning
Danger from rotating parts!
Only switch on the electric stirrer when it is
mounted in a suitable tank.
Warning
The surface of the motor may be so hot
that it may cause personal injury in terms
of burns.
Provide protection against accidental
contact with hot surfaces.
Wear protective clothing, if required.
Caution
The electric stirrer must not run dry.
Observe the installation and operating
Caution
instructions for the motor used.
4.3 Safety notices on installation and
maintenance work
All work on the electric stirrer may only be carried out
with the device switched off.
All safety and protection equipment must be put back
into operation as soon as work is completed.
Warning
Installation, maintenance and repair must
be carried out by authorised and qualified
personnel.
Do not open the electric stirrer.
Warning
When handling dangerous media, observe
the corresponding safety precautions.
Wear protective clothing (gloves and
goggles) if required.
4.4 Unauthorised conversions and
impermissible spare parts
Modifications or changes to the electric stirrer are
only permitted with the consent of the manufacturer.
Genuine spare parts and accessories approved by
the manufacturer are safe to use.

5. Transport and storage

Do not throw or drop the electric stirrer.
Protect the shaft and propeller against

Do not hold or transport the electric stirrer
by the shaft or propeller.
Observe the installation and operating

instructions for the motor used.

5.1 Unpacking

Unpack the electric stirrer as soon as you receive
it, and check for visible transport damage.
Retain the packaging for future storage or return,
or dispose of the packaging in accordance with
local regulations.
Fit the electric stirrer as soon as possible after
unpacking.

5.2 Storage

Store the electric stirrer in a dry, cool place.
