NOTICE
• Place the scale on a hard, flat, level surface; a hard surface is required for accurate measurements.
• Measurement variations are normal, as this scale is not cali brated for use in a professional med-
ical environment.
• The device should be cleaned from time to time. Do not use any abrasive cleaning products and
never submerge the device in water.
• Make sure that no liquids come into contact with the scale. Never submerge the scale in water.
Never rinse it in running water.
• Do not place any objects on the scale when not in use.
• Do not press the buttons violently or with pointed objects.
• Do not expose the scale to high temperatures or strong electromagnetic fields.
• The scale's capacity is 400 lb (181.4 kg).
• The scale is initially set to weigh and measure in 'lb'.
• Repairs must only be performed by Customer Service.
• The accuracy of the measurements and service life of the device depend on its careful handling.
Battery Handling Safety Precautions
• Use only the size and type of batteries specified.
• Be sure to follow the correct polarity when installing the batteries. Reversed batteries may cause
damage to the device.
• If the battery in the device is depleted or the device will not be used for a long period of time, remove
