and protect gold-plated surfaces. They can
be reused, but are not to be washed or
used with other cleaning agents.
Never use aggressive or abrasive cleaning
agents, conventional polishing cloths, hard
brushes, cleansing sponges, solvents or
ordinary sponges. They will remove the
gold!
1.
Wipe the external surface with the gold
polishing cloth until the desired gloss
and effect are achieved.
2. For stubborn dirt: Moisten a part of the
gold polishing cloth and rub the soiled
areas with it. Then wipe the area off with
the dry part of the gold polishing cloth.
Descaling
CAUTION
When the bottom of the water tank is
scaled, the resulting heat accumulation can
cause damage.
Calcium scale deposits not only degrade
the quality of tea, coffee and water, they
also cause energy loss and shorten the
appliance's life. The thicker the calcium
layer is, the harder it is to remove. We
therefore recommend regularly descaling
the appliance — every 2 to 6 weeks, depen-
ding on hardness of water and intensity of
use. The first sign that coffee and espresso
machines need descaling is excessive
steam and slowed coffee brewing. Calcium
scale deposits on the bottoms of samovars
and electric kettles can cause the appliance
to turn off prematurely.
For descaling, we
recommend BEEM
Premium Descaling
Concentrate.
Efficient, food-safe
and eco-friendly,
BEEM Premium
Descaling
Concentrate is
available from select
dealers or directly
from our website at

BEEM - Elements of Lifestyle
Descaling with BEEM Premium Descaling
Concentrate:
1. Fill the water container to the maximum
mark with a 1:20 mixture of water and
solution. That means one part concentrate
to 20 parts water.
2. Turn the appliance on. If you are
descaling a samovar or electric kettle, let the
descaling solution come to a boil. For coffee
and espresso machines, let a cup of descaling
solution run through.
3. Give the descaling solution time to work.
On samovars, the descaling solution must
also be allowed to run out the water tap to
free the water tap of calcium deposits also.
4. Remove the descaling solution from
samovars and electric kettles, and rinse them
several times with cold water. Also allow clean
water to run through the water tap. For coffee
and espresso machines, let all of the
descaling solution run though. To rinse, let
two tankfuls of clean water run through the
appliance.

Storage

If you do not intend to use the appliance for a
longer period of time, clean it as described in
the section Cleaning and maintenance to
prevent mould from building up. Mould can
damage the appliance and cause marks that
cannot then be removed.
Store the appliance and all accessory parts
at a dry, clean and frost-free location which is
protected against direct sunlight.
