3. Operate the filler pump to fill the grease gun barrel (23).

Removing Trapped Air
After filling grease gun, trapped air should be removed using these steps:
1. After filling the grease gun barrel (23) with grease by any one method described previously, while
reassembling the gun, keep at least 2-3 turns open.
2. Press the lock lever and release the plunger rod. Push down on the plunger handle.
3. Move the plunger rod forward and backward to remove any trapped air pockets.
4. Tighten the gun head (1) to the grease gun barrel (23).
5. The grease gun is ready to use.
Disconnect from air supply before changing accessories or servicing.
Dry air is needed to operate this gun. Make sure an FRL (Filter, Regulator, and Lubricator) unit is
installed in the air line, as moisture in the air will damage the grease gun.
The compressor must have a minimum volume of 1 CFM (0.026 cubic meter).
Line pressure should be increased to compensate for long air hoses (over 26 feet).
Inlet air supply should have a pressure between 40 - 120 PSI. The recommended working
pressure is 90 PSI. This grease gun has a 40:1 pressure ratio; i.e., the grease discharge pressure
will be 40 times the inlet air pressure.
For lubrication of the grease gun, add a few drops of oil through the air inlet (8) on the grease
gun. It is recommended to use SAE 30 or greater oil.
This grease gun comes with one standard male quick connect coupler (8). The coupler must fit
properly onto the female quick connect coupler on the air line. If it does not fit properly, use a
coupler that does.
Check the air hose for wear and make sure that all connections are secure.
Always wear the proper protective equipment, including ANSI Z87.1 compliant eye protection.
High Pressure Fluid Hazard. Do not use a hose pressure rating that is less than the grease gun.
Do not exceed the max pressure of 4800 PSI.
Ensure that the trigger is in the OFF position when connecting to the air supply.
