GMC 605 AND GI 285 ANNUNCIATIONS
The GMC 605 and GI 285 annunciate 'VS' for Vertical Speed mode. Additionally, the
GMC 605 annunciates the Vertical Speed Reference in the mode reference section.
GDU 620 ANNUNCIATIONS
The GDU 620 displays a Vertical Speed bug with a reference value (in FPM) and can
be adjusted via the controls on the GDU. When Vertical Speed mode is active, the GMC
605 also displays the Vertical Speed Reference and provides a means of adjustment
via the wheel.
The system will function as follows:
• With the Flight Director (FD) and Autopilot (AP) off, the Vertical Speed bug on the
PFD can be adjusted using the controls on the GDU.
• When the Flight Director (FD) is on (regardless of autopilot engagement status)
and Vertical Speed mode is selected on the GMC, the Vertical Speed Reference on
the GMC and the Vertical Speed bug on the PFD will sync to the current aircraft
vertical speed.
