9. Sign into FlashArray and Configure Controllers (Cont'd)
Verify Setup and Configuration
After the FlashArray is online, make sure it is healthy by doing the following:
1. Enter the purehw list command. All statuses should read ok.
2. Enter the hardware_check.py command. All results should be All's well.
3. Enter the pureboot list command. Make sure that *--> is pointing at the desired version.
4. Enter the purearray list --controller command. Make sure both controllers are online and running the cor-
rect version of Purity.
5. Test the Purity GUI by viewing the virtual IP (VIP) in a browser.
6. Test the Purity CLI by using ssh pureuser@array_VIP.
7. If the array has one or more DirectFlash shelves or expansion shelves, enter the following commands on each con-
troller to check the SAS connections:
storage_view.py config
storage_view.py enclosures
If the SAS cables are connected correctly, these commands return the following response:
No errors detected.
If errors are detected, contact Pure Storage Technical Support for assistance.
To disable root and puresetup users, enter the purearray enable console-lock command. To re-enable
these users, enter the purearray disable console-lock command.
