Installing an SD-Node
To keep the gravity balance of the cabinet, you are advised to install devices of the CSE from bottom to top.

Installing a C-Node
The installation procedure of a C-Node is the same as that of an SD-Node. Install the C-Nodes by referring to the
installation procedure of an SD-Node.
A C-Node weighs 29 kg in its full configuration, so at least two persons are required to mount the C-Node into the
cabinet.
After the previous devices have been installed, you are advised to install filler panels to cover empty positions to
ensure good ventilation. If an SMS modem or a remote modem is used, install the modem before installing filler panels.

Installing an SMS Modem
The SMS modem is equipped with the 220 V to 12 V transformer. When the equipment
room has only –48 V DC power supply, use the service provider (SP) short message method
instead.
The SMS modem is a small and light purchased component. Different types of SMS
modems may require different installation methods. Use a tie to fix the SMS modem in a free
position near the SD-Node in the cabinet so that you can connect cables of the SD-Node
conveniently.
Tie the SMS modem securely to prevent it from falling off and ensure that the SMS modem
does not affect the wiring of other devices or opening/closing of the cabinet door.
1
Slide the SD-Node into the cabinet

To avoid hard disk vibration, push the SD-Node into
