The burner requires scheduled maintenance, which must be carried out by qualified personnel in conformity
with local regulations and laws.
Scheduled maintenance is vital for the smooth operation of the burner: it avoids waste of fuel and reduces
pollutant emissions into the atmosphere.
FUNDAMENTAL OPERATIONS TO BE CARRIED OUT ARE AS FOLLOWS:
®
Make sure the air intake areas and ducts taking the flue gases away do not feature any obstructions or
restrictions.
®
Electrical connections
Check that the burner and gas train electrical connections are correct.
Gas leaks
®
Make sure there are no gas leaks in the following areas:
- on the meter-burner pipework
- on the mixer/valve connection
- on the burner fastening flange where the seal is fitted.
Combustion head
®
Inspect the combustion head and make sure the fabric is undamaged and does not features large or deep
holes or corroded areas. Also make sure that no parts have warped as a result of high temperature.
Electrode unit
®
Make sure neither the electrodes nor probe feature marked warping or oxidation on surfaces. Make sure
distances are still in line with those indicated in fig. 4, readjusting to the right values where necessary. Where
