Pre-Installation Notes:
1. VOIP phone service is not supported.
2. DSL requires an RJ31X DSL filter.
Wiring Notes:
1. When using a power supply you MUST share a common ground with the control panel.
2. The 4286 wires up directly to the keypad Terminals on your Control panel.
3. Observe the panels ECP (keypad data) wire runs and do not exceed the 2000' max distance the panel offers
(1500' on vista20 and lower control panels).
4. Existing wires connected to the "Handset" terminals on control must be moved from there to terminals 3
and 4 on the 4286.
5. Place a 2 conductor wire between terminals 21 and 22 to terminals 1 and 2 on the 4286.

    Setting the 4500 Thermostat: To enter and use the 4286 thermostat programming mode: 1. There must be at least one thermostat programmed into the system by way of the 4286 installer programming mode entry. 2. Obtain phone access from the phone module. Enter the 2-digit phone code. Enter the 4-digit system code if prompted.
