Important Information and Safety Tips 1 Important Information and Safety Tips The Weigl ProI/O is an electronic device that can fail, in part or in full despite careful testing. Therefore, it must not be used in applications where personal safety could be at risk due to the malfunction of the device.
In addition, correct polarity must be utilized to avoid damage to the ProI/O. Failure to do so will void the warranty and Weigl Works, LLC or Weigl will not be liable for any resulting damages. When connecting solenoids, a freewheeling diode for each solenoid is required.

USB-update and driver installation 5 USB-Update and driver installation To run the ProI/O devices through USB you need two different drivers. One driver you need to connect the ProI/O device as RS232 interface with the computer. The other driver you need to run the update via the USB. Here you will find the two ways to install the two drivers.

USB-update and driver installation After installing the second driver, run the PROIO_UPD.bat again. You are asked for the COM port. Now you can enter the number, probably you get an error message, that the port cannot be opened, but after a few seconds you should get this window.

Choose the device, where you want to run an update and press "FW Update Network". In the upcoming dialog choose the ProIO_Vxxx.HEX upgrade file and the upgrade procedure starts.
