6.2 Measuring calibration
1. Start measuring process with diagnostic tester (e.g. put steering system into teach mode). Select using
adjusting channel 0.
2. Briefly leave steering wheel in the center position (± 10º) without torque (±4 Nm).
3. Carefully apply more force to turn the steering wheel to the left end stop and hold there briefly.
4. Carefully apply more force to turn the steering wheel to the right end stop and hold there briefly.
5. Return steering wheel to the center position (± 10º); this requires increased force.
6. If no further faults are present, the Servolectric malfunction indicator light goes out.
7. Switching off the ignition saves the settings.
8. Erase error memory.
7 Check function
1. Check function on a fenced-off site.
2. During the test drive, check the following steering functions:
- Return mechanism
- Play
- Noise
- Malfunction indicator light
3. After the test drive, read off the error memory. No error may be entered in the error memory.
