- Page 3 1. Remove tow hook brackets – Using a 17mm socket, remove factory tow hook brackets (if present) by removing (10) M12 flange head bolts. Return bolts & brackets to vehicle owner. See Figure 2. NOTE: For vehicles without factory tow hook brackets, it may be necessary to clean the existing weldnuts in frame using a wire brush or compressed air.
- Page 4 3. Tighten all M12 CL10.9 fasteners with torque wrench to 76 Lb.-Ft. (103 N*m) Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing. Check out a selection of trailer hitches and towing offered in our online store.
