Step 6:
Final adjustments now can be made if required, by tightening and
moving the knot forward on all bungees. Note: The four middle
bungees in pockets need not be tensioned too tightly unless excess
sag (see picture below). The end of the bungee can then be fed
back up through the eyelet and tucked into the vinyl pocket.
Before first use make sure:
1.
All bungees are knotted using figure eight or double knots and
are firmly tightened.
2.
The two d-shackles are nipped up using pliers.
3.
Check to see if there are any exposed bolts that hang down
which may rub against the mesh ie. handbrake fittings, u-bolts of
Hayman Reese. It is recommended you cover these with a
rubber type material to prevent wear.
4.
If your vehicle has a lift kit fitted, we find the factory mud flaps are
not long enough exposing more tyre surface. These can be
extended with rubber from your local rubber stockists. If you
